Partnered with: Versiclad, Contour3D
In partnership with Versiclad, Contour3D are building homes of the future with Australia’s first 3D-printed duplex, with the goal to address Australia's housing shortage.
This duplex housing project showcases a new era in technology and design by combining 3D concrete printing for the ground floor and lightweight modular construction by Versiclad for the first floor. These technologies combine to create a powerhouse for faster build times, less construction waste, and higher thermal energy ratings.
Within this project Monumental Building utilised ClickDecks modular decking systems to achieve two curved planter boxes with a tight 400mm radius on the end. Radiants Thermasheet was specified due to the strength, light weight material, waterproof properties and ease of use. The curved Thermasheet was an ideal product for these planter boxes as they have a scored surface to one face allowing the board to bend easily around pre-formed sub structures.
The planter box will be finished externally with Dulux Acratex render with a host of Australian Natives on the inside.
