Overview
Thermasheet Flex and UltraFlex are pre-scored curved boards for curved shower walls, columns, ceilings and architectural features. Flex suits standard curved applications; UltraFlex is the most flexible board for tighter radius curves and sculptural designs.

Installation steps

PREPARE SUBSTRATE
Ensure the frame or substrate is clean, dry and properly set out to the required curve.

POSITION AND BEND BOARD
Offer the Flex or UltraFlex board to the frame and carefully bend to the required radius. The pre-scored cuts allow the board to curve smoothly.

APPLY SEALANT
Apply a continuous bead of Thermasheet MSP Sealant to all framing members and at board-to-board joints.

FIX BOARD
Fix using corrosion-resistant screws with large washers at the appropriate centres (see the Framed walls stud spacing guide), or use adhesive where suitable. Ensure the board is fully supported along the curve.

JOIN ADDITIONAL BOARDS
Where multiple boards are used, fill all joints with Thermasheet MSP Sealant and embed reinforcing tape. Allow to cure.

FINISH
Once cured, the curved surface is ready for tiles, render, microcement or other decorative finishes. Use suitable flexible adhesives and follow the manufacturer's guidelines.
